This a topic that I myself found difficult to buy into at first.  It sounded improbable to say the least.  I sort of fell into it by accident.  I had had a back surgery in 1995, and about a year later my back was acting up again.  I didn't like the thought of a second surgery so my mind was open when I happened to be approached regarding magnetic technology.  Long story short, I tried it, and it helped way more than I had expected.  From what I knew of it, I knew that it was harmless.  So, even if it was just a placebo effect I was going with it.  Of course, that wasn't really quite enough for my scientific mind so I researched the physiology behind it.

What I found, in non-scientific terms, is that it helps the cells (virtually each and every one of them) in the body to function more optimally.  Each cell charges, discharges, and recharges over and over again during the course of normal cellular function.  A really good analogy for this is a NiCad battery.  Like a NiCad, the cells, as they grow older or become damaged, take longer and longer to charge, but they holder a weaker charge.  This causes our cells, like the NiCads, to be less and less functional.  By placing a magnetic charge in the background of the cell you simply create an up-stepping transformer to aid the cell in its normal physiologic function.  Of course, there is more to it than this simple analogy, but this is an excellent non-scientific way to think of it.

I found that not all magnets had the same effect on improving cellular, and thus body, function.  Due to certain patented design qualities found in a Japanese company's products this brand of magnetic products seems to work the best.  The company's name is Nikken, and they are actually responsible for the original research and development of the modern magnetic health care industry.  You can't buy their products retail (due to an interesting and somewhat Eastern company philosophy) so I had to become a distributor to connect my patients and friends to the benefits that these products can afford.

You might ask:  Even if these products are useful for helping with a variety of discomforts why are they considered anti-aging ?  The answer is quite simple.  If the body's cells behave as described above what you have, in effect, is a more youthful internal environment in which our bodies operate.  It's not just about discomfort when we talk about magnetics.  What the science has shown, and I have observed since 1996 with these products, is that people can achieve higher energy levels, more restful and restorative sleep and a diminution in quite a variety of signs and symptoms associated with a myriad of health challenges.  Now, if getting rid of symptoms, and feeling like you used to isn't anti-aging then I need to talk to you.

These products are not FDA approved for pain, nor can one make medical claims regarding them.  This status is unlikely to change since the FDA approval process would cost Nikken hundreds of millions of dollars. Nikken chose to avoid the "medical product" designation in order to bring these products to the US from Japan.  By simply referring to them as "health care products", and not making "medical" claims they are able to avoid FDA entanglement.

You can go directly to Nikken's website at 5pillars.com.  This company does run a business so if you're just interested in magnetic research just go to that link on their home page.

I find these products to be both intriguing as well as fun for me to work with.  I am always happy to discuss what benefit you may attain with their use.  Please feel free to ask.
